Yes some have not received CPO...they say they will get a deportation notice soon as a result of not receiving CPO but directly receiving "Approval Notice Sent".

One of my friends got GC without any problems.He got substitution labor.
Another friend (who didn't changed his employer) got RFE asking for employment verification letter.But many of his friends got GCs even after changing employer without any RFE.

The priority dates cannot be ported during the I-140 stage. This can be done only during 485 filing where in you have two I-140s approved and a request can be made to use the earlier priority date.

For a person holding a 10-year multiple entry B1/B2 visa, how long can they stay for each visit. Is it determined at the port of entry by the officer? or is there a standard like 30 days or something per visit? I know parents visiting can stay for max of 6 months. Can they travel across to canada and then reenter for another 6 months? Just curious.

try POJO method to reach IO. You can find in "n" number of threads to reach IO based upon your service center. but it's based on your luck to get polite and cordial IO. Try multiple times and speak politely.

Once you get an IO, be very polite, and take notes for your records. Ask them for their badge number. That way you can reference each conversation by date and the badge number of the IO.

What else do you want Bro. Give 30 days time to USCIS to send your card. we, most of us, would me more satisfied just to see the magical words - Current Status: Card production ordered in our case status.
Regarding holding card in physically, have to wait some time. Which should not be more taxing than waiting to see the magical words.
I started calling my friends the same night that I got GC, but back in my mind I was still not sure and thought "whatif USCIS made a mistake" and thought may be I should wait until I get the card.
I have spent coupla nights searching forums what kind of email people get when GC approved. I found most get Approval Email and Card production. I got only one email. I am still not able to believe I got GC. It was like a distant dream few weeks ago.

I had a similar issue for my son (I attached the check and it appeared that they lost the check) and it can be re-submitted again as long as the receipt date stamped on the rejected application is before retrogression which must be the case for you. But you need to wait for the rejected App.

Clarification on your stmt "as long as the receipt date stamped on the rejected application is before retrogression" assuming mine gets rejected say "09/20/2007" with a receipt date "july 12 2007" and for EB3 dates being retrogressed to Apr 2001 will I be able to refile in Oct 2007 ??

I currently have a lowtraffic website with no ads.I am planning to add some adds like googleads,yahoo adwords etc..The thing is i need to give them my ssn while regestering for them and payment check will be made on my personal name.As iam currently on H1 i am in dilemma whether i can take this payments or not.Does anyone aware of dos and donots in this case.Thank you.

Call the toll free number (877-CBP-5511 ) of the customs and border patrol (Questions/Customer Service - CBP.gov (http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/contacts/customer_service.xml)). They can give you the location and number of your local city's office. Call your local city customs office and identify yourself using passport number. They may ask you some basic questions to verify your identity.
Inform the officer about the query from USCIS and ask them to give you the I-94 number, validity date. They wont give you a physical copy of I-94, but they will certainly tell you the I-94 number and expiry date. While responding to the RFE from USCIS, you can say that - "I-94 is taken back while leaving the country. Based on the call with Customs and Border patrol on so and so date and time, the I-94 number is blaw and validatity date is blaw blaw"
Your attorney should be able to write the above message in legal language. I had a similar RFE and I was able to call customs office and get all my I-94 information. When I called the local Customs and border patrol office, they picked up the phone immediately and they seem to be very friendly. Good luck.

You can change your address online or also by calling the USCIS. I did the latter in my case a few months ago. Once the system is updated by a USCIS customer service rep to reflect the new address, you'll get an email notification, if you have that feature activated on the USCIS site/your application portfolio.

Ah, that's more like it. Taken with a 600mm f/4, 1.4x extender, and 12mm extension tube. A little more magnification, and less light... You can focus closer, but you can't focus at infinity anymore.

Hi, my 485 was rejected initially for "misisng or incorrect fee", per the rejection notice my attorney refiled the app. When refiling the app he sent two checks, one for old fee and the other to make up the difference for new fee. So, USCIS has an option to choose. Now, the Supervisor is insisting us to show evidence of a check being sent (or cashed) in the first place. The Supervisor has asked my attorney to take the time he needs and respond via fax once he's done reconciling. Now, that all the applications have been processed, my attorney has been able to reconcile the check register and confirm that they missed to send the check with my application. He is planning on writing an aplology letter to the Supervisor, do you folks think that Sprvr might receipt the app or reject ?
Given, the July fiasco, Fee increase, and the number of applications attorney's had to process these clerical errors are bound to happen I doubt if USCIS will show any leniency in this. Please let me know if any one is in a similar situation.
If the supervisor rejects the application (as its incomplete) what would be options ? Can I write a letter to USCIS director and explain him the situation and ask him to reconsider it ? Bottom line, why cannot they give us a second chance. It's evident that USCIS has done mistakes as well (improper fee rejections etc). I do understand that there is no law requiring them to return my app on time (in fact they kept it for 95 days before they rejected), if they returned my app on time I would have had a chance to return it back with fee. Any thoughts ? Thanks.

I did it few months back for my wife from CGI SFO. You should be fine. There ia one thing though. The I-693 medical exam needs your wife's passport number. You could do that only after you receive the new passport. May cause some delay.
