I mailed my I-765 along with cashier's check for $340 on dec, 17 , still waiting for receipt notice. I call customer care number today since its more than 30 days, but they are closed today.
I have USPS confirmation that they have received case on Dec 19.
I will try calling them tomorrow.

I am in confusion here.
I applied for my I-485(EB2, PD= Dec,2006) in july 2007. I was married that time and my wife was in India. She didnt get delhi consulate appointment so i missed her while i applied for my I - 485. Now she is in US on H4 visa. I got RFE last month on my I 485 regarding employment verification. I have replied for RFE.
My Question here is:-
If I get my green card(that chances are very less because my PD are not current... but on safe side), How i can add her into GC or 485 stage.
Have your docs ready. If your PD does become current send them such they reach on the first working day of the month your PD is current.

u can file for a 3 year ext of H1 status under AC21 - This will enable u to continue in valid status while the retrogression eases if it ever will.

The RD (Receipt Date) is the date USCIS received your application. And 180 days for AC21 triggers from this date.. Not the ND (Notice Date), when USCIS actually enached your checks and issued you a receipt... The CRIS website usually shows ND...
Seems your RD is June 9th... Confirm from your I-485 receipts too...

Sorry..I have incorrectly named the thread..it suppose to read this way- "Changed Employer (but not informed USCIS), travelling on AP" .
A couple of points : 485 is your property. Its a grey area whether to inform USCIS or not, some advocate it as its a proof and file AC21 and some have different opinion its a personal choice. Regarding using AP I myself dont see an issue. Rest of all are supporting dox. Nice to have supporting documents.
Informing USCIS is nothing but officially filing AC21. Since there are no forms its just a letter indicating AC21.

My family still stays in Oregon and will continue there. We also moved to diff apt one month back in Oregon. ( In the same apt complex/zipcode)
I will stay here in CA for couple of months.

I have not asked my employer if they would allow me to do this, but my family wants to really move out of Boston (too cold and tough winters). I am looking to accept a new full time position on H1b with a company other than my current employer. My current employer has offered me to continue with them on a partime basis with a concurrent H1 and I am looking to convert my current full time H1 into a part-time H1 and get the new company to file a new concurrent H1 petition for me for full time. There is no change in title or job description.
My question is whether changing a full time H1 into a part time (40 hrs/wk vs 20 hrs/month) constitute a material change ? and thus require filing of a new ameneded petition ? And are the filing fees same for an amended petition as for a new petiton.
Would appreciate if someone knowledgeable would comment.
Yes you will have to file a new amended petition for the part time work. You might have problem if you first file a concurrent full time H1 as you might be asked how will you work 80hrs a week? So you can file for a H1b "transfer" for the full time work and then file for a concurrent part-time H1b.

I am afraid to talk to any prospective employers as I do not have a copy of I-140 with me. I have a copy of I-140 Approval letter, but it specifies; this copy should not be used as a proof of valid document for official purposes.
