I got the paperwork from my attorney for my wife's 485 as they want us to be ready so that if dates are current, we just mail the paperwork without having to start at that time.
However, my wife is pregnant and i am not sure if medical examinations are possible. What are my options ?
Complete medicals without the vaccines, etc which cannot be taken during pregnancy. The Civil surgeon shoould make a note on the medical report that the applicant is pregnant and so medical is incomplete.
When your 485 is picked up for processing, an RFE will be issued and then she can complete the rest.

I was in a similar situation back in 2006. I got my visa stamping for my future H1-B but at the POE, the officer stamped my I-94 only till the end of current H1-B. But he mentioned that I can go to the nearby CBP office and get it changed once my current H1-B expires. And I did exactly the same. No issues.

Remaining in H-1 status provides what I think is a very important safety net. Even if you are 100% sure that there are no potential problems with your I-485, the possibility of an erroneous USCIS denial always exists. If there are any glitches, you will be in a much better position to wait for them to be resolved if you are able to remain legally employed in the US. Additionally, you are entitled to a three year H-1 extension which means you won't have the hassle of worrying about gaps in employment or travel authorization because of USCIS processing delays. Finally, remaining in H-1 status gives your current or future spouse the option of H-4 status.
What happens if an individual has completed 6 years on H1 and is in 7th or 10th... extension? Does 485 denial invalidate the associated 140 too? Will it not make the H1 invalid too?

I called the general customer service number - National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283.
As I mentioned earlier, I did not go through with the options of sending the info. to the US consulate. But I will give it a try tomorrow. I don't know what you can do with that option (PIMS etc), but it is worthwhile to explore.

I would suggest that the letter be sent at the time of filing the second EB2 I 140. This is the way my attorney filed.

I stopped worrying on GC and started living on tasks that help my family. I have a job now. If lost, I will go for another job and another and another in India/Europe/Australia/so and so. But surely not going to die or go to hospital for depression.

If you read the rules closely, the employer is attesting to the fact that the job will be readily available at a future date. So as long as the employer issues a letter attesting to this, there is no issue. AC21 is very specific = 180 days not less. So even with a letter from the employer, IF i-485 has not been pending 180 days, you cannot induce AC21 If you do indeed move prior to the six months, make sure you amend your H1B for the necessary changes (eg location)

What did your lawyer say about this? Now you have a delivery confirmation, did you lawyer suggest that USCIS consider the dates as of last year and process your resubmitted application. Certainly it is not your fault,,

You also have to apply for Photo GC which will only be mailed in Canada and someone have to fed ex it to U in US else you will have problem getting back to Canada in future.

What GLUS said is right but the problem is that it was lost 15 years back . There might not be computerized records from that time or if by luck there are they must be archived that there would be no way to retreive them.
Try harder to get any kind of records that you or your lawyer or anyone else in your family might have as additional proof.
And file for the documents as mentioned above . God knows you might get lucky !

I could find this useful. I am in my 6th year expiring June 1, 2007. My employers are just about to file LC, so I guess being able to process I140 by premium will enable me file for a three year extension before my current stay expires.
