Good to know i can file a new H1 based on 140 irrespective of who filed 140 and i am in H status or not. This way i don't need to be always tensed about a possible RFE on 485.

Since your H-1B transfer petition is denied, you are not in H1 status anymore. However, I would suggest consider applying for 3 year H1 based on approved I-140 (and PD is not current). It does not matter who applied for that I-140.
There is a chance that USCIS may approve this H1 without I-94. In that case, you need to get new visa stamp and reenter into US to get back into H-1B status.

I got my physical EAD card but my online status still says pending. Don't know what's going on at USCIS now.

1. company is hiring u as a fulltime employee
2. job desc is same or similar
3. annual salary is >= one specified in approved labor
you can get paid by hr, but just extrapolate that hrly value into annual salary, and state that.

I checked the website- but most posts are for electronic filing.
Didnt see anyone posting more on Paper filing.
I checked out the awesome post by Dhundhun on E-filing/paper filing etc - he has done a great job posting good info on self filing EAD/AP.
Was just looking for responses from someone who did paper filing in recent past and also if he/she faced any issues etc.

As I said in the comments on the cropped version in your gallery, I think it's quite good. Six megapixels doesn't really seem like a lot when I see it on the screen, but the prints from these images (even cropped) are amazing!

Hi, I have an approved I 140 (EB3) and my priority date is Nov 2007. I have a Canadian PR and my employer has agreed to let me work from our Canada Office. My question is, what should I do when/if my priority date becomes current while we are in Canada ? Should we come back to USA on visitors visa and apply for AOS or should be go for Consular Processing ? What are the pros and cons of each approach ?
Question is why you want to move to Canada. If you want that your Canadian PR does not get invalidated bcoz you didn't stay 3 yrs out of 5 in Canada, then, I would rather suggest, that you work thru your company (Canadian company) in US. The number of days you spend outside Canada working thru a canadian company in US are counted towards your day of stay in Canada. You can check this info.
To ans your question, you can come to US on visitor visa/business visa whatever visa to file for your I-485 but as far as I know, you cannot stay more than 6 months outside US on AOS. So I would rather do a CP.
There are some differences in AOS & CP. In AOS, you get EAD & AP which is as good as GC. If your case is denied, you can challenge it in US Courts in case of AOS.
In case of CP, the consulate will call you for interview & you have to be there on that specified date & time else its curtains for your case. You cannot challenge their decision.

Hello
I have got done my medical exam required for adjust of status.
My doc gave me only a single sheet of page in a sealed envelop to send to the USCIS for the purpose.
My QUESTION is, is it only one page to be submitted in the sealed envelop, as the form doesnt have any of my passport details or reciept numbers for the form 140's/485
The doctor should have given u a sealed envelop, how do u know there is only 1 page? 4 pages of 693 are basically the same form, 4 copies. I think you should be ok, Doctors dont mess this us usually. You need to send this envelop with your papers. Passport number and receipt numbers are not needed, how would you have the file number if you havent filed 485/140 yet?
He has only given me page 3 of the attached file, is that sufficient?

amindarshana: (1) keep checking whether you check cashed or not (2) if 45 days passed from your SR open date - you will have to reconstruct your entire 485 packet and include delivery proof, and a copy of the check that you had sent. - check with your attorney.

No new PIO card is required unless 15 yrs is up. Get it endorsed with the new passport # on your PIO card from the embassy/consulate.

I have a question regarding employment and I-485 approval. For travel, one can take the I-797 approval notice and get their passport stamped if the physical green card has not arrived yet.
How about employment? Can the approved I-797 for green card be used for filling in I-9 for employment? One can think of various situations where this might be useful. Say you have renewed your EAD/H1B that is expiring, do you file the new I-9 with new EAD/H1B or show the I-797.
